Hi! I am Tyler Melugin

Tyler Melugin is an intern therapist at Fearlessly Authentic Psychology who works with individuals and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and sex and intimacy concerns, using CBT, DBT, and person-centered approaches.

My Story

Hi, I am Tyler Melugin, a graduate student and intern therapist at Fearlessly Authentic Psychology. I am currently completing my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and feel honored to walk alongside people as they navigate some of the most vulnerable parts of their lives.

I work with individuals and couples who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and challenges related to sex and intimacy. Many of my clients come in carrying experiences that feel hard to talk about or that have been misunderstood in other spaces. My goal is to provide a safe, grounded place where you can process past experiences, reduce anxiety, and build practical coping tools that support real growth in your day-to-day life.

I provide LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy and am knowledgeable about consensual non-monogamy and kink/BDSM. I understand that sexuality, identity, and relationships can be deeply complex and often stigmatized. In our work together, you will not be judged for who you are, what you desire, or how you structure your relationships. Instead, we will explore what feels aligned, safe, and healthy for you.

I use evidence-based approaches and continually learn and train so that the care I provide is up to date, responsive, and ethically grounded. In session, I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and person-centered approaches. This means we might work with your thoughts and behaviors, build emotion regulation and distress tolerance skills, and center your values and lived experience as we create change you can actually notice.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you have felt misunderstood, judged, or unsure where to begin. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you are looking for a collaborative, thoughtful space to explore what is getting in the way of the life you want, I would be glad to talk and see if we might be a good fit. Personal Life

Outside of the therapy room, I value balance, authenticity, and ongoing growth. The same qualities that shape my work with clients also guide how I move through my own life. I care about curiosity, clear communication, and making room for both seriousness and humor.

I am committed to ongoing learning around mental health, sexuality, relationships, and identity. Staying engaged with new research, trainings, and perspectives helps me show up as a grounded, informed, and flexible therapist in training. I also make space to recharge, connect with people who are important to me, and engage in the things that help me feel centered.

All of this supports the way I practice. When you meet with me, you are meeting someone who is genuinely invested in your well-being, who respects your story and your boundaries, and who is honored to walk with you as you work toward a life that feels more like your own.

The Mission of the Practice

Our mission is to promote the practice of living authentically by empowering clinicians to create individualized treatment plans that foster a growth-oriented mindset. We believe that therapy should never be one-size-fits-all; each person’s story, strengths, and struggles are unique, and their care should reflect that.

Founded by Dr. Kimberly Garrison, Fearlessly Authentic Psychology was built on the belief that people deserve more than symptom checklists and quick fixes; they deserve to be truly seen, supported, and challenged in ways that honor who they are. As Clinical Director, Dr. Garrison models this work by combining deep clinical expertise with a direct, compassionate style, and by mentoring clinicians to do the same.

At Fearlessly Authentic Psychology, we support clinicians in using evidence-based tools, deep self-awareness, and genuine connection to help clients move toward lives that feel more aligned with who they truly are. This means honoring each person’s values, identities, and lived experiences while also challenging the patterns that keep them stuck. We strive to create a professional home where therapists feel supported, resourced, and encouraged to grow; because when clinicians thrive, clients benefit.

We believe that everyone has the potential to live a fulfilling, meaningful life, and we are committed to providing the tools, guidance, and community necessary to make that a reality. Join us, and Dr. Garrison, in our mission to live authentically, cultivate resilience, and embrace personal growth; for ourselves, our clients, and the communities we serve.
