Miranda Weiler-Ireland, Intern

Hi! I am Miranda Weiler-Ireland

Miranda Weiler-Ireland is an expressive arts therapy intern at Fearlessly Authentic Psychology and a graduate student at Lesley University, focusing on creative, multi-modal arts practices to support healing and self-expression.

My Story

Hello, my name is Miranda Weiler-Ireland and I am an intern at Fearlessly Authentic Psychology. I am currently a graduate student pursuing my master’s in mental health counseling with a focus on Expressive Arts Therapy at Lesley University. I am excited to be part of the team at Fearlessly and to bring expressive arts into the therapy space as a meaningful way to support healing and self-expression.

Expressive Arts Therapy is a field of counseling that uses many different art forms to help clients process, explore, and express their inner world. You might have heard of art therapy, music therapy, or drama therapy. Each of those focuses on one primary medium. Expressive arts therapy combines multiple mediums so we can move between visual art, movement, sound, writing, or drama to find what feels most comfortable and helpful for you.

One of the most important things to know is that expressive arts therapy is not about artistic skill. Healing happens in the process, not in creating a perfect product. You do not need any prior experience in art, music, or performance. You do not have to consider yourself creative. What matters is what emerges for you as you use the arts to connect with your authentic inner self in a space free from judgment and critique.

In sessions, I aim to create a warm, welcoming environment where you can explore both through conversation and through creative processes. We might use drawing, collage, movement, sound, imagery, or storytelling to access feelings and experiences that are hard to put into words. My goal is to walk alongside you at a pace that feels right, helping you discover new ways to express yourself, make meaning, and move toward greater self-understanding and wholeness. Personal Life

When I am not in the office, you can usually find me onstage in the Denver theatre community or outside exploring with my partner and friends. Performing has been a big part of my life and is one of the ways I stay connected to both my body and my creativity. I enjoy dabbling in a variety of arts and often spend time behind the camera, in my home studio, or in my family’s woodworking shop.

I am Colorado born and raised and I love sharing favorite natural spots and quirky Denver hangs. I enjoy both being out on the trail and staying in. I am as big a fan of my couch as I am of a good hike. You can often find me curled up with one of my many pets, usually playing some kind of farming-based game and recharging.

All of these parts of my life shape how I show up as a therapist in training. Creativity, play, curiosity, and connection are values I carry into my work. When you meet with me, you are meeting someone who genuinely loves the arts, believes in the healing power of creative expression, and feels honored to accompany you as you explore your own story.

The Mission of the Practice

Our mission is to promote the practice of living authentically by empowering clinicians to create individualized treatment plans that foster a growth-oriented mindset. We believe that therapy should never be one-size-fits-all; each person’s story, strengths, and struggles are unique, and their care should reflect that.

Founded by Dr. Kimberly Garrison, Fearlessly Authentic Psychology was built on the belief that people deserve more than symptom checklists and quick fixes; they deserve to be truly seen, supported, and challenged in ways that honor who they are. As Clinical Director, Dr. Garrison models this work by combining deep clinical expertise with a direct, compassionate style, and by mentoring clinicians to do the same.

At Fearlessly Authentic Psychology, we support clinicians in using evidence-based tools, deep self-awareness, and genuine connection to help clients move toward lives that feel more aligned with who they truly are. This means honoring each person’s values, identities, and lived experiences while also challenging the patterns that keep them stuck. We strive to create a professional home where therapists feel supported, resourced, and encouraged to grow; because when clinicians thrive, clients benefit.

We believe that everyone has the potential to live a fulfilling, meaningful life, and we are committed to providing the tools, guidance, and community necessary to make that a reality. Join us, and Dr. Garrison, in our mission to live authentically, cultivate resilience, and embrace personal growth; for ourselves, our clients, and the communities we serve.
