Kristine Tarmann, MS, LPC, LAC, ATR-BC

Hi, I am Kristine Tarmann!

Kristine Tarmann, MS, LPC, LAC, ATR-BC, is a therapist and supervisor at Fearlessly Authentic Psychology who uses art therapy and trauma informed, collaborative approaches to support neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, trauma, addiction, and grief and loss clients.

My Story

My name is Kristine, and I am a clinical supervisor here at Fearlessly Authentic Psychology. I graduated from Mount Mary University with a Master’s degree in Art Therapy with a concentration in Counseling. Since, I have obtained my LPC and LAC in the State of Colorado and am a Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC).

I have nearly a decade of experience working with a vast array of clients, but have found a special interest in grief and loss, end of life concerns, LGBTQ+, neurodivergence, addictions, and trauma. I also have received training in Gottman approaches with couples.

My focus with Fearlessly Authentic Psychology is providing supervision to LPCC and intern-level clinicians! I come from a long line of educators, and I have always believed that growth is a shared journey. For me, supervision is much more than a professional requirement–it’s a passion rooted in mentorship, education, and the belief that every clinician has a unique “creative spark” waiting to be refined. It is also an investment in the future of our field! I believe that the quality of supervision is directly mirrored in the quality of client care. When a therapist is well-supported, the client receives the benefit of two minds instead of one!

Since 2023, I’ve had the privilege of supervising LPCC and intern-level clinicians. My approach is collaborative and developmental in nature, and I often draw on humanistic principles. I believe in meeting clinicians where they are in their professional journey, supporting them in strengthening the skills and talents they already possess while gently challenging them to expand their clinical skills and theoretical knowledge in new ways.

It’s my honor to be a supervisor to the clinicians here at Fearlessly Authentic Psychology, and I enjoy learning as much as I teach! It brings a great sense of fulfillment and joy to be a part of this learning and collaborative care community! Should you have any questions or concerns about myself or my team, I encourage you to reach out!

Personal Life

Outside of my work as a therapist and supervisor, I am someone who deeply values creativity, connection, and time to recharge. I love reading, cooking, and creating, whether that is making art, trying out a new recipe, or finding small ways to bring beauty and play into everyday life. Being outside is another important part of how I care for myself. Time in nature helps me reset and stay grounded so I can show up fully for my clients and supervisees.

Relationships matter a lot to me. I enjoy spending time with loved ones and appreciate both deep conversations and simple moments of shared quiet. I also share my home with my cat, Danny Phantom, who brings a lot of personality and humor into my daily routine.

The way I live my life reflects the same values I bring to therapy and supervision. I care about authenticity, curiosity, and compassion. I believe in making room for both joy and pain, for both growth and rest. When you work with me, you are meeting someone who understands that being human is complex and who feels honored to walk alongside you, whether you are in a season of grief, healing, discovery, or all of the above.

The Mission of the Practice

Our mission is to promote the practice of living authentically by empowering clinicians to create individualized treatment plans that foster a growth-oriented mindset. We believe that therapy should never be one-size-fits-all; each person’s story, strengths, and struggles are unique, and their care should reflect that.

Founded by Dr. Kimberly Garrison, Fearlessly Authentic Psychology was built on the belief that people deserve more than symptom checklists and quick fixes; they deserve to be truly seen, supported, and challenged in ways that honor who they are. As Clinical Director, Dr. Garrison models this work by combining deep clinical expertise with a direct, compassionate style, and by mentoring clinicians to do the same.

At Fearlessly Authentic Psychology, we support clinicians in using evidence-based tools, deep self-awareness, and genuine connection to help clients move toward lives that feel more aligned with who they truly are. This means honoring each person’s values, identities, and lived experiences while also challenging the patterns that keep them stuck. We strive to create a professional home where therapists feel supported, resourced, and encouraged to grow; because when clinicians thrive, clients benefit.

We believe that everyone has the potential to live a fulfilling, meaningful life, and we are committed to providing the tools, guidance, and community necessary to make that a reality. Join us, and Dr. Garrison, in our mission to live authentically, cultivate resilience, and embrace personal growth; for ourselves, our clients, and the communities we serve.
