Erin Zabel, MA, LPC EMDR Trained

Hi! I am Erin Zabel

Erin Zabel, MA, LPC, is an EMDR trained, trauma-informed therapist who works with anxiety, self-esteem, religious trauma, attachment, grief and loss, prenatal and postpartum concerns, and codependency.

My Story

Hi, I am Erin Zabel, MA, LPC, EMDR trained. You may relate to the idea that you only discover your strength when you have no other choice. Maybe you have carried more than anyone realizes, kept it together for everyone else, and learned to always appear strong. In therapy with me, you do not have to do that. This is a space to unwind, untangle the chaos you have been holding, and let someone else help carry it for a while.

I have been working in the mental health field for about five years. My style is direct, compassionate, supportive, and accepting. I go at a pace that works for you so we can build real trust and you do not feel rushed or discouraged on this brave journey.

I use a trauma-informed approach that integrates acceptance, attachment, and compassion. I pay attention to how your past experiences and relationships shape the way you feel and respond now. I also offer EMDR, which can be helpful for processing trauma, painful memories, and deeply rooted beliefs about yourself.

I often work with concerns related to self-esteem and self-acceptance, anxiety, religious trauma, attachment, grief and loss, prenatal and postpartum experiences, and codependency. Many of my clients are tired of feeling like they have to be the strong one all the time.

I see therapy as a team effort. You bring your story and your insight. I bring my training, tools, and grounded presence. Together we work toward your well-being and toward a life that feels more free, authentic, and aligned with who you truly are.

Personal Life

Outside of the therapy room, I am a real person who also navigates relationships, stress, and change. I am a mother, a wife, and an animal lover, and those roles are an important part of who I am. They remind me daily that life can be both beautiful and messy, often at the same time, and that we all need spaces where we can be held with gentleness.

I show up in my personal life with the same values I bring to therapy. I care deeply about genuine acceptance, curiosity, and respect. I am an LGBTQ+ ally and a BIPOC supporter, and I continue to learn about how systems of power and oppression affect people’s mental health and sense of safety. I believe that being a good therapist includes ongoing reflection and growth, not just a degree or a license.

In my own time, I recharge by being with my family, spending time with our animals, and finding small moments of joy and connection in everyday life. These experiences help me stay grounded so that I can be fully present with you in session. When you work with me, you are meeting with someone who truly believes in your capacity to heal and who feels honored to walk beside you as you move toward a life of greater fulfillment, freedom, and authenticity. The Mission of the Practice

Our mission is to promote the practice of living authentically by empowering clinicians to create individualized treatment plans that foster a growth-oriented mindset. We believe that therapy should never be one-size-fits-all; each person’s story, strengths, and struggles are unique, and their care should reflect that.

Founded by Dr. Kimberly Garrison, Fearlessly Authentic Psychology was built on the belief that people deserve more than symptom checklists and quick fixes; they deserve to be truly seen, supported, and challenged in ways that honor who they are. As Clinical Director, Dr. Garrison models this work by combining deep clinical expertise with a direct, compassionate style, and by mentoring clinicians to do the same.

At Fearlessly Authentic Psychology, we support clinicians in using evidence-based tools, deep self-awareness, and genuine connection to help clients move toward lives that feel more aligned with who they truly are. This means honoring each person’s values, identities, and lived experiences while also challenging the patterns that keep them stuck. We strive to create a professional home where therapists feel supported, resourced, and encouraged to grow; because when clinicians thrive, clients benefit.

We believe that everyone has the potential to live a fulfilling, meaningful life, and we are committed to providing the tools, guidance, and community necessary to make that a reality. Join us, and Dr. Garrison, in our mission to live authentically, cultivate resilience, and embrace personal growth; for ourselves, our clients, and the communities we serve.
