Hi! I am Kodie Palmer
My Story
Hi, I’m Kodie Palmer. I’m a therapist at Fearlessly Authentic Psychology, I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University. If you’re here because things feel heavy, confusing, or overwhelming, you don’t have to face this alone- and you don’t have to have everything figured out.
My background is rooted in wanting to understand people and their experiences as fully as possible. Before graduate school, I earned three bachelor’s degrees in Psychology; Sociology with a concentration in Criminology; and Philosophy from The University of Tennessee. This helps me look at what you’re going through from multiple perspectives—your inner world, your relationships, the systems around you, and the deeper questions about meaning that often arise when life feels difficult.
My hope is to offer a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard. We’ll move at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you, and work together toward relief, clarity, and healing—one step at a time.
I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds who could use some support, whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, anger issues, relationship concerns, identity questions, life transitions, or feeling stuck and unsure what comes next. Clients often describe me as caring, empathic, direct, and supportive. I will be honest with you, but never harsh. My commitment is to your flourishing, in both healing and happiness, and I walk with you at a pace that feels manageable instead of overwhelming.
In the therapy room, I use a multi-theoretical perspective that integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic work, and humanistic approaches. So we might look at your thoughts and behaviors, explore your emotions and history, and pay attention to your values and sense of self whatever feels the most important to you. I do not believe there is one right way to heal. I work with you to find what fits your personality, your goals, and your lived experience.
At Fearlessly Authentic Psychology, I care about making therapy accessible, grounded, and human. You do not need to have everything figured out before we start. We can begin exactly where you are.

Personal Life
I am originally from Nashville, Tennessee, and that part of my story still matters a lot to me. Growing up there gave me a deep appreciation for music, stories, and the many different ways people make sense of their lives. My background in psychology, sociology, and philosophy reflects how naturally curious I am about people and the world.
I also have a playful side and try not to take myself too seriously all the time. I will happily admit that I still struggle to decide whether the “s” or the “c” is silent in the word “scent,” and that I am genuinely scared of Ursula from The Little Mermaid. Those details might seem small, but they remind me that we are all a mix of serious and silly, and that it is okay to bring your whole self into the room.
Outside of work, I value time to slow down, connect with people I care about, and recharge. Those moments help me show up more fully present for my clients. My personal experiences keep me grounded in empathy and realness, which are the same qualities I aim to offer in therapy.
The Mission of the Practice
Our mission is to promote the practice of living authentically by empowering clinicians to create individualized treatment plans that foster a growth-oriented mindset. We believe that therapy should never be one-size-fits-all; each person’s story, strengths, and struggles are unique, and their care should reflect that.
Founded by Dr. Kimberly Garrison, Fearlessly Authentic Psychology was built on the belief that people deserve more than symptom checklists and quick fixes; they deserve to be truly seen, supported, and challenged in ways that honor who they are. As Clinical Director, Dr. Garrison models this work by combining deep clinical expertise with a direct, compassionate style, and by mentoring clinicians to do the same.
At Fearlessly Authentic Psychology, we support clinicians in using evidence-based tools, deep self-awareness, and genuine connection to help clients move toward lives that feel more aligned with who they truly are. This means honoring each person’s values, identities, and lived experiences while also challenging the patterns that keep them stuck. We strive to create a professional home where therapists feel supported, resourced, and encouraged to grow; because when clinicians thrive, clients benefit.
We believe that everyone has the potential to live a fulfilling, meaningful life, and we are committed to providing the tools, guidance, and community necessary to make that a reality. Join us, and Dr. Garrison, in our mission to live authentically, cultivate resilience, and embrace personal growth; for ourselves, our clients, and the communities we serve.
